Our third night in Liverpool! Wow, what an incredible UK Premiere screening of tonight's "Concert for George" at FACT Theatre!

Olivia Harrison, along with the filmmakers and singer Joe Brown, gave a brief introduction to "Concert For George". Sir George Martin attended along with his son Giles. Other celebrities included Yoko Ono, the Lord and Lady Mayor of Liverpool and the president of Apple and EMI.

Reception after screening of "Concert For George"

Although the DVD has been out for awhile, this was the first screening in the UK of "Concert For George". Ringo sings two songs, Photograph, which he co-wrote with George, and Honey Don't by Carl Perkins, whose songs George was a fan of. When Paul joined the stage, Ringo played the drums along with another drummer and seeing them onstage reunited was heartwarming. The late Billy Preston stole the show with his soulful rendition of My Sweet Lord. The audience clapped along during the entire film.

With George Martin, his son Giles, Olivia and Joe Brown in the audience along with many Liverpool locals, watching this film in George's hometown was a very emotional experience!

OK, only the main event left! Stay tuned for Paul from Anfield tomorrow!
