White Album's 40th celebrated this weekend on XM [Posted by Ken Michaels on Monday, 10/27/08 5:59 pm] [Full Blog] [Related Posts] [Tweet This]This Saturday's broadcast of my Beatles show "Every Little Thing" is devoted almost entirely to the White Album, which this month marks its' 40th Anniversary.
Included is a long set with recordings from the White Album, solo-Beatle versions of White Album music, and other artists covering music from the White Album. There's also a set of songs that the Beatles recorded for their Esher demos that didn't make the White Album, but ended up being released in their solo-careers. Plus a solo-Beatles live set to open the show, including music from Ringo's recent "Live 2006" DVD.
The show airs Saturday night, Nov. 1 at 9 pm (est) on XM's Fine Tuning channel (#76.) Please note, this show runs 10 minutes longer than usual, and may start at 8:50 pm.
For comments and suggestions on the show, you can always write to me at everylittlething@att.net.
