Paul gets two nods on Grammy announcements TV special [Posted by Dave Haber on Thursday, 12/04/08 8:53 am] [Full Blog] [Related Posts] [Tweet] [Facebook]The nominations for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards were announced in a live television special on Wednesday night. Paul McCartney has been nominated for two Grammys for tracks from his live LP, Amoeba's Secret, which was recorded live at a famous secret in-store performance at Los Angeles indie record store Amoeba Music in Hollywood, California, on June 27, 2007.
In the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance category, Paul was nominated for "That Was Me" from Amoeba's Secret. And in the Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance, Paul got a Grammy nod for his rendition of The Beatles song "I Saw Her Standing There," also from Amoeba's Secret.
Amoeba's Secret was released on November 13, 2007. It was released as 12" vinyl EP, and is available in the UK only as an import. It's available only on vinyl, and was originally sold in the Amoeba record store for $6.98.
