Yoko Ono honored at National Dance Institute's annual gala

On Thursday, April 30, 2009, the National Dance Institute holds its 32nd Annual Gala celebrating the life and legacy of John Lennon. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner and awards presentation at 7:00 p.m. Yoko Ono will be honored, and there will be dance performances featuring the children of National Dance Institute.

Proceeds will benefit National Dance Institute, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1976 by world-renowned New York City Ballet dancer Jacques d'Amboise. NDI's award-winning dance education program transforms the lives of 35,000 New York City public school children and their families each year.

Benefit tables range from $10,000 to $30,000. Individual tickets begin at $1,000. The gala will take place at the Nokia Theatre Times Square, 44th Street and Broadway in Manhattan. For more information, please call (800) 807-1787.
