Playwright seeks memories of Beatles gig in North Wales [Posted by Dave Haber on Saturday, 05/09/09 5:28 am] [Full Blog] [Tweet This]More than four decades after the Fab Four played in Flintshire, North Wales, the night Beatlemania came to the town is to be immortalised on-stage.
Award-winning writer and director Tim Baker, associate director of Clwyd Theatr Cymru in Mold, is researching a new play based on life in the 1960s and, in particular, the legendary night John, Paul, George and Ringo played the town's assembly rooms in January, 1963.
Mr. Baker is looking for people to share their Beatles memories of the gig or the 1960s in general to help with his research for his new play, which will be titled "Yesterday." To get in touch with Mr. Baker, write to him at Clwyd Theatr Cymru, Civic Centre, Mold, CH7 1YA or call 01352 755114.
