The Fonz says thumbs up on the Beatles
[Posted by Dave Haber on Saturday, 12/26/09 11:37 am] [Full Blog] [Tweet This]According to an article in the Liverpool Daily Post, 50 years after he first visited Liverpool, American actor Henry Winkler says he was loving being back in the home of The Beatles.
"I came here when I was 14 but I don't remember the city, so now I've got to experience Liverpool properly. Everyone is so unbelievably warm."
He also said, "I love The Beatles, my favorite song is ‘You've got to hide your love away.' I met them all except George and I was a jabbering idiot each time."
The Fonz is in Liverpool to star as Captain Hook in an all-singing, all-dancing, all-flying version of the JM Barrie children's classic Peter Pan, which is at The Empire Theatre in Liverpool, and runs until January 3. Click here for more info.
