Neil Innes suffered for his art, now it's LA's turn [Posted by Dave Haber on Wednesday, 04/28/10 4:43 pm] [Full Blog] [Tweet This]Neil Innes, who appeared in Magical Mystery Tour with the Bonzo Doo Dah Dog Band and wrote the music for and acted as Ron Nasty in The Rutles, takes on Los Angeles with a special live performance at McCabe's in Santa Monica this Friday Night.
A stop on his "A People's Guide to World Domination" 2010 USA tour, Neil hasn't performed live in the Los Angeles area since 2008, when he celebrated the US premiere of the documentary "Neil Innes: The Seventh Python" with a special benefit concert for the American Cinematheque the following night at the historic Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.
About the show, Neil said, "If I could describe what it is I do on stage in a sentence or two, or even a cleverly constructed paragraph, then there would be absolutely no need for me to go on stage and do it."
For tickets, check out McCabe's Concert Site. For more information and other tour dates, go to Neil Innes On Tour.
I've personally seen Neil in concert many times, it is an experience not to be missed! I'll see you there on Friday!
