Ringo and his All Starrs shine in Saratoga
[Posted by Katie Hickox on Friday, 07/20/12 7:22 pm] [Full Blog] [Tweet] [Facebook]

Ringo Starr put on a great concert along with a little help from his friends at the very cozy outdoor scenic Mountain Winery venue in Saratoga, California on Tuesday night. It was Ringo's only San Francisco Bay Area appearance for his 2012 tour.

He opened the show with It Don't Come Easy, just as I had finally arrived at the mountain top parking lot and was running down to seek a ticket to a long ago sold out show as this venue only seats 2,500.

Highlights of the the night's show included hits from Greg Rolie of Santana, Todd Rundgren, Richard Cage, and of course Ringo, who played background drums for his featured performing artists when he wasn't singing his own hit songs.

Ringo had the audience up on their feet to Boys and I Wanna Be Your Man. My personal favorite of course is With A Little Help From My Friends, especially since I had some help getting a ticket for Tuesday's show.

Many parents brought their young children who enjoyed the concert. A great time was enjoyed by all.
