|Liverpool attempts Beatles Guinness World Record next month |

Today, September 4th is a vital day for Beatles fans, it's the 50th anniversary of the first recording of The Beatles' debut single Love Me Do with Ringo Starr on drums, the official beginning of a historic musical journey taken by The Fab Four that changed the world forever.Marco Frigatti, Head of record management Guinness World Records said, "The Beatles are record-breaking royalty, not only are they the best-selling music group in history, the band holds the honour of being the creators of the first song ever beamed into space! Guinness World Records is pleased to be adjudicating this record attempt and we hope their fans will be joining the event to help secure another place in the records books in the name of the Fab Four."
It also means there's now just one month to go until Beatles fans from all over the world come together in Liverpool on October 5th in the hope of smashing a Guinness World Record to commemorate the release of The Beatles' debut single on an unsuspecting world.
Thousands of people are expected to descend on Liverpool on October 5th to be part of Beatles history. the Guinness World Record attempt by the people of Liverpool to sing The Beatles' Love Me Do in the round. Choirs, school children, Beatles fans and tourists from all over the world. The record for the most people singing 'in a round' currently stands at 897, singing Danke Schoen in celebration of the 25th anniversary ofFerris Bueller's Day Off, in Chicago last October.
The record attempt is part of a year-long programme of events across Liverpool City Region to mark "Liverpool Celebrates 50 Years Of The Beatles". The record-breaking attempt has been created by the award-winning Beatles Story attraction and Albert Dock and is supported by Liverpool City Council.
