The Genesis publications unveiling of Ringo Starr's "Photograph," a book of Ringo's personal photo collection from the years when he was with the Beatles, was held at the Arclight theatre in Hollywood yesterday, 23rd October, with Ringo Starr in attendance and a number of interesting guest speakers, including famous Rock n' Roll photographer Henry Diltz, Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters and Steve Gorman, drummer with the Counting Crows.

Out on display at the event were a number of Ringo's photos and in the background more photos appeared on a large screen. Each guest speaker spoke about how they were influenced by Ringo and his drumming and the Beatles as a band. Ringo was interviewed and spoke about his love of taking photos and how his mother had a large collection of his photos, which they sorted through and decided to put together this wonderful collection as a book.

Ringo spoke about how when the Beatles were photographed they always had a number of things in their hands, a cigarette, a drink and a camera, and while touring they shared one car and hotel rooms, and that is how they got to know each other. Ringo's favourite drummer is Jim Keltner, and in the video Ringo is talking about hearing Jim Keltner in an interview talking about Charlie Watts being his favourite drummer, so Ringo called him up and asked him about it. It was an interesting event filled with laughs due to Ringo's fantastic, sharp, quick wit which don't come easy for many, but thank goodness he never lost over the years.
