This Friday, on June 6 at 6:00pm, Beatles fans will Come Together to listen to the Beatles' All You Need Is Love, everywhere, all over the planet, at the same time, to celebrate International Beatles Fan Day!
Beatles Fan Day was created in 2008 so that Beatles fans everywhere could have one special day they can call their own, to share their love of the Beatles with their friends, their community, and the world.
On Beatles Fan Day, Beatles fans get together with friends in groups large and small, in public venues and private parties, wear their Beatles t-shirts, play Beatles music and share their memories of the Beatles. It's a day to give thanks for the Beatles and how they made the world such a better place.
The main event of Beatles Fan Day is when fans all get together all over the world and share the Beatles' All You Need Is Love at the same time. Called 6/6@6 (pronounced six-six-at-six) for June 6 at 6:00pm, fans can chose to celebrate at 6:00pm their local time, or 6:00pm Liverpool time, or both!
On June 6, 1962, The Beatles met record producer George Martin for the first time at EMI Studios on Abbey Road in London. At the end of that combination audition and also proper recording session, The Beatles signed a recording contract with EMI. Meeting George Martin was the final piece in the puzzle of the success of The Beatles. Beatles Fan Day is celebrated on June 6 to commemorate this so important day in the history of The Beatles.
So, join in the fun, and get together with your friends this Friday for 6/6@6! Check out Beatles Fan Day on the net for more info!
