The world's fifth permanent exhibition on the life and times of The Beatles is now open for visitors in the town of Eger in northern Hungary.
The museum is named "Egri Road," after the famous Beatles album Abbey Road. The exhibits include special items from the private collection of two dedicated Hungarian Beatles fans who have been collecting recordings and memorabilia related to the Beatles for four decades.
Multimedia walls in the museum present the day-to-day history of the band, and contemporary news programs and audio recordings are enjoyable at the touch of a button and through headphones. Showcases display contemporary publications, garments, dolls, games limited edition instruments and other curiosities, and various games and photo-taking activities take the visitors back to the sixties.
The exhibition is located in the halls and cellar of the Hotel Korona Eger. Similar museums are currently located in Liverpool, Halle, Germany, Alkmaar, Netherlands and Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Egri Road hopes to be a partner of these institutions.
