Dhani Harrison denies rumors of Beatles Boys Band

George Harrison's son Dhani has dismissed rumors The Beatles' musical offspring are planning to launch their own group to follow in the footsteps of their famous dads. Dhani, who fronts his own rock group Thenewno2, insists he is on good terms with all of the musicians, but he has brushed off claims they will team up to record songs. [More...]

C'mon Dhani, do it! I for one would love to hear all of you do something together. Don't put it off until you have to add your voices to an old demo like your Fathers did. You can still all do your current musical activities. Go for it!

I gotta admit that the idea DOES sound interesting, but I can't see the Beatles' offspring even considering something like a collaboration. Even if they did something together it would obviously have to be nothing "Beatle-like". Otherwise, why set yourself up? I would think this would be the last thing on their collective minds. Still, they potentially could be a fairly decent band.

No Dahni, why would you want to start a group with the other Beatle offsping. That would just mean you would sell a billion more records then you ever could on your own. You guys would probably make a huge splash and everyone would love it and you'd make some great music together. Nah, why would you ever consider that?

Stick with Thenewno2, a name that's unpernouncable, a group that no one cares about and nobody's heard of. That's a GREAT career decision! Brilliant!

A one off record or show for charity is all I can see.

The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Sounds a lot like a George response. Dhani seems too cool to do something so cheesy. More than anything, it's a "Doppelganger Photo Op", considering that each of the sons resembles their father in huge ways (Zak Starkey being the lone exception. He probably wouldn't do it either...)

They would probably be filmed...

All gather together in a COLD Film studio...early in the morning...with cameras getting literally up their noses...!

Sean Lennon would insist on his "quiet" girlfriend being present...also getting up the others noses...

James would probably begin to feel he was "annoying" Dhanni...who would get exasperated and snap back at him...

Zak would probably get so fed up at all the constant bickering...he'd walk out..!

Leaving just Julian at the piano...singing a lament...!

Dhanni is probably right...just LET IT BE...!

@Dave: You may not care about Dhani's new band or the type of music that he be playing, but guess what-he wants to make his own way in the world, without sponging off of his late father's legacy. If you, like most of the Beatlefans here, can't deal with new music or the fact that the sons of the Beatles want to do their own thing, that's your loss.

But the rest of the world-Beatlefans and non-Beatlefans-have to carry on as much as possible, and so does Dhani, Sean, Julian & Zak. And that can't be as imitations of their fathers.

@ Dave FYI I have seen thenewno2 twice! they are great Dhani just wants to make a name for himself and not be compared to George...he hates that and thenewno2 is a great way for him to just be himself

and it's pronounced the new number 2
