| It's now officially a 'tour', Paul says more dates coming |
 On his official website paulmccartney.com today, Paul announced his Atlanta at Piedmont Park on Saturday August 15th which we told you about first here on Beatles News yesterday morning, and used the "tour" word officially for the first time. More importantly, he mentioned there would be more dates to come.

| It's Official: Paul McCartney live in Boston on Aug. 5 and 6 |
 According to Boston Music Spotlight, after weeks of speculation, Paul McCartney has officially announced that he will perform at Boston's historic Fenway Park on Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6. Reportedly, tickets for both shows will go on sale Monday, June 29 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices are forthcoming.

| Indian musician who performed with George Harrison dies |
 Ali Akbar Khan, the revered Indian-born musician who moved to Marin County and popularized his country's music for successive generations of Americans, died Thursday night. In 1971, he teamed with Ravi Shankar to open George Harrison's 1971 Bangladesh fundraising concert at New York's Madison Square Garden.

| Original Grateful Dead bandmembers perform Imagine and Blackbird |
 Mickey Hart and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead opened their set playing a jam version of 'Blackbird' and ended their set with 'Imagine' for a small group in Marin Saturday afternoon. Bob sang the lead vocals with Mickey playing drums. The lunchtime event was held outside at a lovely venue near San Anselmo.

| New George Harrison CD hard to find in New York City |

Those lyrics from the song "EMI" by the Sex Pistols are ringing true today, as Beatle/George Harrison fans in New York can't manage to get a copy of The New George Harrison collection entitled "Let it Roll". I've had many people contact me to see if I was able to get a copy.

| Paul McCartney to perform live in Washington DC on Aug. 1 |
 Paul McCartney will perform at FedExField, the home of the Washington Redskins, on Saturday, August 1. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 26 at 10:00 A.M. ET. The FedExField concert will come on the heels of Paul McCartney's three sold-out shows at the new Citi Field in New York, with the public snapping up tickets minutes after they went on sale.

 On 8th August 1969, four men walked across a zebra crossing in St John's Wood. On August 8th 2009, a special Beatles walking tour will cross the Abbey Road Crossing exactly 40 years to the minute since the Beatles. The tour will be lead by Richard Porter, a professional Beatles tour guide and owner of the Beatles Coffee Shop.

| The Plastic Ono Band is back! |
 The band that was started by John Lennon while The Beatles were still together is being resurrected by Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono. This week they'll be releasing a brand new EP entitled "Don't Stop Me!". The Plastic Ono Band will also be playing their first concert on June 14, 2009 at The Royal Festival Hall in the UK.

 More than four decades after the Fab Four played in Mold, in Flintshire, North Wales, the night Beatlemania came to the town is to be immortalised on-stage. | Coachella facing $54,000 fine because of Paul McCartney |
 CNN reports today that Sir Paul McCartney could cause the Coachella Music Festival to be fined $54,000. On Friday, the ex-Beatle didn't end his set until about 54 minutes past the festival's midnight curfew. According to the Indio Police Department, the promoter agrees to pay $1,000 for every minute the shows go on past 12 a.m.

| On the scene with Paul McCartney at the Hard Rock in Vegas |
 Paul started late, at 8:37pm, opening with the Beatles song, "Drive My Car," to a soldout crowd of 4,000 standing fans at the Hard Rock Hotel's The Joint. Fans came from all over, including Canada and Mexico to hear Paul. He played a high voltage performance non-stop for another two hours, twenty-five minutes, including two encores.
