Update: Giles Martin clarifies his White Album remix statement

Last week Giles Martin revealed to the BBC that work had already started on an expanded deluxe edition of 1968's The White Album, with "a lot of stuff" available for bonus material. However, Martin tweeted, "Just to confirm...I said the 'White Album' is the next Beatles album. I promise that I'm not working on it. Enjoy Sgt. Pepper first!"

White Album to be next to get Giles Martin treatment

Speaking on BBC Radio 6, Giles Martin, son of The Beatles producer George Martin, has confirmed plans to re-mix the band's 1968 work, the White Album. Asked if there was more material in the Beatles' archive to remaster, he joked, "I kind of hope not," before adding, "White Album, which will be the next release."
