Guest rooms re-opened at fire-struck Hard Days Night Hotel The majority of the bedrooms at Liverpool's Hard Days Night Hotel have now re-opened to guests, almost a month after it was struck by fire. Although the fire was contained to the hotel's fourth and fifth floor, general manager Mike Dewey decided it was best to shut all 110 bedrooms while investigations were carried out into its cause. Beatles Miracle: No paintings damaged in Hard Day's Night fire After fear that possibly up to twenty of her Beatles-themed paintings at the Hard Day's Night hotel in Liverpool had been destroyed by the fire that occurred there on Valentine's Day, artist Shannon MacDonald has now said that she was informed by the hotel today that none of her paintings were damaged by the fire. Followup: Beatles hotel fire destroys paintings by famous Beatles artist About 20 paintings by famous Beatles artist Shannon MacDonald are believed to have been lost in a fire at the Liverpool Hard Days Night Hotel. The paintings, which Shannon said could be worth around $20,000 each, took two years to create and a dozen years to plan. The fire broke out on Valentine's Day on the fifth floor of the hotel.
