|Fans remember John Lennon in Central Park|
Fans of John Lennon gathered in Central Park to remember him on the 36th anniversary of his death. Dozens paid tribute by singing Beatles songs and leaving flowers at "Strawberry Fields," the section of the park dedicated to Lennon. "I grew up with him. I loved him, loved the Beatles since they came out in 1964," said one fan.

|George Harrison's estate posts throwback tribute to John Lennon|
To celebrate John Lennon's life, the estate for George Harrison posted a tribute photo of the two former Beatles from the group's early days. On Thursday, 36 years after Lennon was murdered, Harrison's estate-maintained Twitter account tweeted a black-and-white photo of the two men together as young lads.

|Yoko Ono tweets anti-gun message on Lennon death anniversary|
Today marks one of the most tragic days in rock history. Thirty-six years ago, John Lennon was murdered outside of The Dakota, the New York City apartment building in which Lennon lived with Yoko Ono. As she's done many times before, Yoko's using the anniversary of her husband's murder to call attention to gun violence in America.
