SiriusXM's Beatles Channel announces new Billy Joel guest shots

SiriusXM announced today that Billy Joel will host various guest DJ sessions on SiriusXM's The Beatles Channel that will feature Joel commenting on songs from every one of The Beatles' original U.S. studio albums. While sitting at the piano playing snippets of classic Beatles songs, Joel will reflect on every American Beatles LP.

Billy Joel, Eddie Vedder to DJ SiriusXM Beatles Channel

Billy Joel and Eddie Vedder are among the celebrity DJs SiriusXM has lined up for its new Beatles Channel. Vedder kicks off the specials on Friday, playing his favorite music from the Fab Four and talking about his favorite songs. Joel's special is set for July 28. Don Henley and Ron Howard are also set for the initial run of Beatles specials.

First Impressions: Sirius/XM's Beatles channel

All You Need Is Love was the first song played on The Beatles Channel, Channel 18 on Sirius/XM. The channel's programming is heavily weighted toward the group's catalog, but work from the solo years gradually became more of a presence over the first couple of days. There are also songs by artists who influenced The Beatles.

Tune in new Beatles Channel during free preview of SiriusXM Warning: Page opens with sound

SiriusXM Satellite Radio will be offering a free two-week preview on May 17-30, even if the service is inactive in your car. You'll be able to binge for free on John, Paul, George and Ringo 24/7 starting May 18 on Channel 18 when SiriusXM throws the switch on the largest collection of Beatles recordings ever assembled.

Satellite radio SiriusXM to debut Beatles channel

SiriusXM satellite radio said Tuesday it will debut a channel devoted to the Beatles later this month, achieving a long-sought dream to highlight the music of the pop music legends. Launching May 18 and backed by the band, the channel will feature music from the Beatles, its members' solo projects and artists who influenced them.
