Front Page > Beatles NewsBeatles Classic on DVD sure to be a hit
[from an article on gift ideas by Joanne Thornborough in The Daily Journal]
For a good laugh: "A Hard Day's Night" may have inadvertently begat "Spice World" (which, I admit, is a favorite guilty pleasure of mine), but by all means do not hold that against it. "Night" starred The Beatles at the height of the mania and is a true delight to watch from start to finish. The film follows the band through various activities as they prepare for a big TV appearance. They are fun to watch, but the true scene-stealer here is Paul's "grandfather" (Wilfrid Brambell). Also, for those who didn't already know, Ringo came up with the film's title.
