Front Page > Beatles NewsBeatles memoriabilia to be auctioned at AIR Studios
Cooper Owen are happy to announce that our next Music Legends auction will take place at Sir George Martin's AIR Studios in London on the 30th November 2006.
As always we offer a brilliant, eclectic array of Rock 'n' Roll memorabilia, and as a subscriber specifically interested in our music legends auctions we are writing to let you know about the fabulous number of lots to be sold on the 30th November at Air studios.
Highlights include: A rare psychedelic hand painted, jacket designed by Mick Jagger's brother Chris for John Lennon. A super rare Beatles' signed Sgt Peppers gatefold album sleeve. John Lennon very rare proof copy of an unpublished book Power To The People: The Political Thoughts of John Lennon. George Harrison played Maton Mastersound MS-500 guitar from 1963. John Lennon's grey button down collar shirt, given to a fan at the end of the bands Australian Tour in 1964. Together with rare recordings, photographs with copyright, presentation awards, instruments, signed items and much more.
As always the Beatles provide the main lots for the auction. Interestingly there are two very different pieces of clothing from John Lennon's wardrobe, encapsulating the incredible development and change the Beatles went through in such a short time period
Firstly a very smart, grey shirt worn in Australia in 1964. Secondly, in complete contrast a psychedelic jacket painted by Chris Jagger for Lennon in 1967.

Other great Beatles pieces include a very rare fully signed Sgt Peppers cover, a guitar used by George Harrison with the band in 1963, several signed pieces, original merchandising, photographs to be sold with full copyright, posters, records, presentation awards, tickets, and much more
