Famous Beatles celebrities honor a special Beatles fan
Special Beatles News Feature
by Jude Southerland Kessler
Dara Roberts, a voracious Beatles fan who has lived with cerebral palsy with a smile and a genuinely peaceful attitude has been honored this weekend by many Beatle groups across America.
The cute 19-year-old whose academic aptitude just gained her entrance to Stanford University was selected by OnTheRockBooks as their "Meet the Beatles Fans" star of the month for August, and her mini-autobiography, complete with Beatle-related photos and videos, is posted at here throughout the month of August.
The feature chronicles Dara's childhood, her struggles with cerebral palsy, scoliosis, and osteoporosis which have caused her to undergo 12 major surgeries in 19 years, and her inspiration for courage: found in the music and joyous whimsy of The Beatles. "Meet Dara Roberts" also introduces you to the many Beatle-people, such as May Pang, 1964: The Tribute, Rain, Philadelphia DJ: Andre Gardner, and the cast of "Love," who have fallen in love with Dara and who have made her life a Beatle-themed adventure!
On video, you'll see Dara's meeting with former President Bill Clinton, and her story in photos and original music, composed for Dara by Dave Revels, the lead singer of The Coasters. In her own words, Dara speaks to the heart about her experience with cerebral palsy and the amazing "good day sunshine" that The Beatles have brought into her life.

This past weekend, Dara was fêted at a huge Beatles Party at S.R. Riley's Musical Café in Bridgeton, New Jersey, a fundraiser to help raise money for a new wheelchair and other equipment that Dara needs for college. Scores of Beatle-people traveled great distances to be with Dara for the event: Garry Berman, author of "We're Going to See The Beatles!", Susan Ryan of rooftopsessions.com, Shannon (the World's Most Famous Beatles Artist), Scott Erickson (who performed Beatles tunes live), and even May Pang was on hand to make the day memorable for the co-ed whom everyone loves.
The party was the brainchild of Sandi Riley, whose immense collection of Beatle memorabilia makes her café a mecca for New Jersey Beatles fans, and it was promoted nationally by Jenn Vanderslice of Moonglow PR, who represents scores of Beatle authors, artists, and speakers.
As part of the festivities, an auction was held to help raise funds for Dara's wheelchair and other equipment, but you can still donate to the cause by logging on to Dara's "Meet the Beatles Fans" feature and joining the outpouring of love and support for this incredible young lady.
