New Haven, CT -- "Legends in Concert," the longest running celebrity tribute show in the world, will commence nightly performances featuring live re-creations of superstars of yesterday and today. The production returns to Foxwoods Casino's Fox Theatre in Connecticut from July 2 to September 4, but there will be one special player there from August 3-8, Connecticut's Mike Streeto.
Streeto, from New Haven, CT, has been a professional musician his entire life. He played in area bands and tribute shows to Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly. He was also the co-producer of Beatles Conventions in CT for many years. So it only makes sense that he combined his love for the drums and for The Beatles by portraying Ringo Starr on stage through the years.

Streeto has been the back-beat for such Beatles bands as "Fab FourEver," which played in Las Vegas, Florida and also toured, as well as "Yesterday," with engagements in Atlantic City and Tahoe. He's had stints with the original members of Broadway's "BeatleMania," with "Abbey Road," he's played for "Strawberry Fields Forever" and also the touring group "The Cast of Beatlemania." Most recently, Streeto joined the New York-based band "MerseyBeat."
But he is most looking forward to playing in Connecticut when Foxwoods brings back the "Legends" show to the Fox Theatre, and is especially excited to be able to portray Ringo again for area friends and family who rarely get to see him when he tours.
Mike Streeto still lives in New Haven, and works full-time in the area, but he is also involved in another world-class tribute band which recently had its debut performance, "Hey Tonight!" The quartet plays the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival. You can see their website at www.HeyTonight.com.
He is considered one of the state's best drummer by his peers, and is honored to be able to play tribute to so many of the classic rock songs and artists he grew up with. Published June 30, 2011
