Artist Shannon celebrates Liverpool Beatles Week while her song climbs charts

Internationally known Beatles Artist Shannon MacDonald will be painting in Liverpool this week while her hit single is climbing the charts back in the U.S.A.

August 22, 2011 -- Shannon MacDonald is known throughout the world as "The World's Greatest Beatles Artist", a title given to her in 1998 by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, but very few of her fans know that she's also a musician. That's all about to change.

Shannon, who's currently on her way to Liverpool to celebrate Beatles Week and unveil a painting commissioned by The Cavern Club, has a hit single of The Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows" climbing rapidly up the charts on ReverbNation. The song has climbed 15 notches up the charts since last week and is the #14 on the alternative list for the state of NJ. Adding to its accelerated rise in popularity, the song has made an unexpected early appearance on iTunes, where it was set to be released in September.

"Things and time are whipping by very quickly for me these days. It's hard to comprehend (geographically) where I am when I awake first thing in the morning. I do know I am at the helm of what I have always dreamed of...I'm in the nucleus of my creativity combining painting and MUSIC. I feel like a rubber band that is being tightly pulled back on the end of your thumb just as it is ready to be launched. It can fly off with precision - or it can snap in two! Stability, you ask? Hell, what person has ever had true stability in the world of art? In life, we all ride the rollercoaster of what is and what shall be. My hands are in the air!" says Shannon.

Appearing with Shannon on "Tomorrow Never Knows" are other well-known artists, such as Lou Pucci, Jimmy Mack, Steve Holley (formerly of Paul McCartney and Wings) and Denny Laine.

Unfortunately for Ms. MacDonald, this rise in musical fame has had to take a back seat to her career as an artist. Shannon returned home yesterday after making a guest appearance at an art show in Utah and she will be flying out first thing tomorrow morning to demonstrate her painting style in Liverpool and unveil her highly anticipated painting "Toppermost of the Poppermost" at the Cavern Club on August 30th. Shannon will also be playing bass with Steve Holley at the Beatles Solo Years Show at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall during Beatles Week.
