Every Little Thing returns to the airwaves

Ken Michaels

Earlier this year, my Beatles radio program "Every Little Thing," heard most recently on XM Radio, returned to the airwaves as a live broadcast on 88.7 WNHU, West Haven, CT Wednesdays 8-10pm (EST) and can be streamed at www.wnhu.net.

The show follows the format of all the Beatles music programs I've been doing since 1982, including a mix of the Beatles' group and solo material, along with occasional side projects, cover versions, tribute songs, family members and rarities. Every show includes a unique thematic set-everything from Songs with Paul McCartney on Drums, Harmonica Songs, Beatles & Bob Dylan set, a tribute to The Concert for Bangla Desh, a Beatles Anatomy set and more.

In addition, every show features the latest Beatle news, and a trivia question or Beatles game in which a prize is given away. Recent prizes include the Beatles 1962-66 and 1967-70 CDs, and the new EP from James McCartney "Close At Hand." Shows also feature new and archival interviews I've done with people in the Beatle world, with Geoff Emerick and Pete Best heard in shows the past month.

Since its return on WNHU, a one-hour syndicated version of "Every Little Thing" was picked up on two other radio stations, WESU, 88.1 Middletown, CT on Sunday nights 2-3am (EST), which you can stream at www.wesufm.org, and on WWHP 98.3, Normal, IL Sundays 8-9pm (CST), also available for streaming at www.wwhp.com. Radio stations that sign up for the show can have access to all the older programs already produced, so it's possible that many radio stations can air different programs of "Every Little Thing" the same week.

To find out more about "Every Little Thing" and all my work on Beatles programs, including "Fab Fourum," the all-talk Beatles podcast that I founded with 3 Beatles friends/historians of mine, you can check out my website at www.kenmichaelsradio.com. You'll also find lots of interviews with various people connected to the Beatles on the home page, such as photographer Robert Freeman, Geoff Emerick, Denny Laine, Mark Rivera, May Pang and others.
