New Book: In Conversation with Stuart Sutcliffe

Next week, on April 10, a special edition book, In Conversation with Stuart Sutcliffe - His Life, Work and Relevance, will be published. The book will be launched exclusively to Stuart's fans who are members of his official fan club at www.StuartSutcliffeFanClub.com for two weeks, and then through Amazon and HMV.

This special edition book celebrates the life and work of Stuart Sutcliffe, the prolific artist and legendary fifth member of The Beatles. Published to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death, it discusses and affirms his lasting significance and relevance.

In Conversation with Stuart Sutcliffe consists of numerous images of Stuart's work "in conversation" with a number of today's brightest artistic talent, pondering and discussing artistic, critical, sociological, poetic and personal responses to Stuart's life and work.

In an exclusive interview for the Official Stuart Sutcliffe Fan Club, Pauline Sutcliffe said about this tribute to her brother, "We all pushed the boat out to get it ready to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Stuart's death on 10th April. My goodness, it's almost a work of art in its own right. Giles and his team have done a magnificent job of putting it all together. Many artists have contributed, from the visual and literary world - not least Stuart's own contribution which underscores the theme "In conversation", with a little help from his friends! We think it is magnificent, original and a great tribute to the boy, man, artist and Beatle!"

In an excerpt from the book, Stuart says, "We young artists are like young sailors, unless we encounter rough seas and are buffeted by the winds, we'll not become real sailors. There is no mercy for us, everyone has to go through a period of worry and struggle if he wants to go into deep water. First we catch a few fish or none at all, but we get to know the ropes and learn to steer our boats which is surely of great importance. And after a while we'll have a marvelous catch, and big ones!"

The Official Stuart Sutcliffe Fan Club website is now offering a sneak preview where you can take a look at some of the never-seen-before images, and a sample of one of Stuart's paintings that hasn't been displayed before, as well as one of his letters.

Starting next week, for two weeks, the book is available exclusively via the official Stuart Sutcliffe website, www.StuartSutcliffeFanClub.com. Quote the Fan Club only code of INCSSFC01 when you order.

David Bedford of the Official Stuart Sutcliffe Fan Club said, "Wouldn't you like to have a conversation with Stuart? I know I would, and now I can."
