Youngerman Art House debuts line of music maps with Beatles link
Up-and-coming British art house Youngerman, consisting of brothers Ivan and Ed Chapman, has just introduced a limited edition line of prints entitled, 'Sounds From the Streets.'
This series of high quality maps incorporates actual streets from the cities of Liverpool, London and New York where classic bands such as the Beatles originated or spent a lot of time. The street names and locations have been changed to honor famous song titles and personnel.

Youngerman's ties to Beatles culture run deep, as Ivan and Ed's mother, a distinguished artist in her time, attended Liverpool Art College with John Lennon. From Manchester in the north west of England, both Chapman brothers are pop culture enthusiasts whose artwork reflects an edgy, contemporary twist on retro images and ideas.
Sir Paul McCartney actually owns the first Limited Edition of The Beatles Liverpool 'Blueprint' Map. "It was an absolute 'wow' moment and is still a pleasure to know Sir Paul has the very first print in that series," Ivan said. "It's amazing."
Youngerman's media include originals on canvas, and the latest technology for printing on glass as low-edition wall art and tables in all styles. A new range of Beatles pop merchandise is also being unveiled soon.
"Youngerman is inspired by the idea of language and emotions as art," says Ivan. "Musings are expressed through characters reminiscent of the Pop Art wave of the '60s, but we try to convey the same Pop Art feeling in a more modern way."
Youngerman's work is for sale online, and they also accept commissions. You can connect with them at their website youngerman-art.com or on Twitter at @youngermanart.
