Paul McCartney releasing new album on MySpace
MySpace users will be able to listen to Electric Arguments, the new album by McCartney's side-project group The Fireman, before the songs are in stores. Tom Hanks' wife in fight over Beatles poster
The wife of Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, just had to have a 1962 vintage Beatles poster priced at $75,000 as a gift for Hanks, but only agreed to the deal provided the seller include a certificate of authenticity, which the seller could not deliver. Paul McCartney poem goes under the hammer
A poem written by Sir Paul McCartney for his friend Spike Milligan is set to go under the hammer next week in London. The handwritten poem will be auctioned by Bonhams on November 25th as part of a large sale of Milligan memorabilia. It is estimated to fetch 1,500 to 2,000 pounds ($2,200 to $3,000). [more...]

Paul wants to release Carnival of Light
For Beatles fans it has gained near mythical status. The 14-minute track called "Carnival of Light" was recorded in 1967 and played just once in public. "It does exist,' McCartney told BBC Radio 4. He confirms that he still has a master tape of the work and says he suspects that "the time has come for it to get its moment". [more...]

A free tribute gig to John Lennon will take place in New York's Central Park next month. For The Love Of Lennon, organised by New Arts NYC, will commemorate the life of the music legend on December 7, the eve of the 28th anniversary. Liverpool museum buys Shea seats for Beatles exhibit
The Beatles Story, a museum in the legendary band's hometown of Liverpool, England, recently purchased two seats from Shea Stadium to become part of its permanent display early next year. Antiques dealer returns rare Beatles photographs found in desk
Rare Beatles photographs have been found in an antique chest of drawers. Among the snaps is a picture of Paul McCartney, George Harrison in a class photo and a Beatles bubble gum card issued in 1964 signed by Paul McCartney. Burglars loot shop but miss Lennon gem
His eyewear store in the Northgate mall in San Rafael, California, was ransacked and some $200,000 in cash and merchandise stolen. Paul McCartney has shot down suggestions that his song Eleanor Rigby was inspired by a hospital scullery maid after a woman claimed he had sent her a pay slip signed with that name.
