Victor Spinetti, who was in A Hard Days Night, Help and Magical Mystery Tour with the Beatles, spoke today to fans at the Fest.

He really loved the time he spent with the Beatles, and they loved him. He said being with the Beatles was like being with them in their kitchen, just friends being together.

About making A Hard Day's night, Victor said he based his character on some real TV directors he had known, and he remembered that when he showed up in his fluffy sweater, the Beatles hadn't seen it before and started ad-libbing about it, including John's line, "I bet she knitted him..."

He remembered many other ad-libs that were cut of the film, like when he said, "I won an award, its on the wall of my office," John replied, "You don't have an office. You don't even have a dressing room!"

He also spoke about the craziness of what it was like whenever they went out in public. Victor remembered the mob scene at the premiere in London of Help! They arrived in a limo together, and John said, "Push Paul out first, he's the prettiest."

The fans really love visiting with Victor at the Fest, and gave him a rousing standing ovation at the end of the session. When he's not talking in the auditorium, you can find him in the Fest lobby area visiting with fans and signing autographs.
