For the 15th anniversary of John Lennon's tragic demise, eight nations from across the universe came together to honor the Beatles legend with an unforgetable collective postal salute. Several rock 'n' roll icons were on-hand to share their memories, perform Lennon songs and unveil the Lennon postage stamps. Guest performers included Dion, Peter Noone, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Billy J. Kramer, plus Beatles concert promoter Sid Bernstein and NY radio legend Cousin Brucie.

StarsOnStamps has posted this never before seen video on You Tube of the John Lennon World Postal Tribute which took place on December 8, 1995. Included in this historic footage are clips of Billy J. Kramer performing Bad To Me, and In My Life in tribute to John, and Dion singing Johnny B. Good, joined by Billy J. Kramer and Mary Wilson.

From July of 1995 to April of 2001, legends from all forms of entertainment began popping up on legal tender postage stamps, and many of these superstars participated in massive public ceremonies, where they unveiled their postal tributes. You can see more clips of these events on the YouTube StarsOnStamps channel.
