Vic Morton and Tom Gordon both grew up in the sixties, and were deeply impressed by the four lads from Liverpool. Tom was a natural on rhythm, lead and bass guitar, and Vic performed cover material and recorded his own songs over the years. Vic and Tom met in 1998 and clicked immediately. Both yearned for The Beatles after their break-up, so they decided to record The About.

It is not uncommon when people listen to The About CD to ask which Beatle's album these songs appeared on. There are cuts on this album that sound like John Lennon singing lead with Paul McCartney on harmony vocal. Other songs sound like Paul on lead with John and George on backing vocals.
In addition to the vocals, you can close your eyes and picture John and George on guitars, Ringo with his steady beat on drums, and even Macca laying down some melodic bass on his Hoffner.
Beatles US Apple Records manager Ken Mansfield says that he really enjoyed The About CD.
If you are a Beatles fan and have often wished that there could have been just one more Beatles album, or if you simply enjoy good melodies and great lyrics, this CD promises to bring a smile to your face.
