|Ringo cancels last night's Woodstock concert at last minute|

I have just returned back to our home base from the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts at the original Woodstock site, where we had travelled to see Ringo and his All Star Band.
At the last minute, Ringo Starr cancelled his June 21, 2008 show that was scheduled for Bethel. No one was notified about the cancellation and many people showed up and were truly disappointed.
We were told the show was cancelled because Ringo and the band could not get out of Canada and into the United States. However, no more details for the reason of the cancellation was given to the disappointed Ringo and Beatles fans.
We have just learned that the band could not make it to Bethel for the show because an equipment truck broke down near the Canadian border, Bethel Woods spokeswoman Shannon McSweeney said.
The concert will not be rescheduled. Those who purchased their tickets online or by telephone will receive an automatic refund. People who purchased tickets at a ticket window must bring them back to the point of purchase for a refund.
We're also hearing from fans that Bethel did attempt to notify by email those had purchased tickets on the internet, but obviously this was only part of the audience, and the notification came only a few hours before the show and many were already on their way to the venue.
