The whole Molly Hatchet band are avid Beatles fans, and next month they have booked Abbey Road Studios to record two of their favorite Beatle songs, "Helter Skelter" and "Back In The USSR". These tracks will be featured on their forthcoming album.

Hatchet's leader Bobby Ingram said they've performed both Beatle classics lots of times in concert but now they are going to record them for real. "Going to Abbey Road Studios is one of those lifetime opportunities that comes along and you jump at it. The band is so pumped about recording there. It just fell into place and we were lucky they had two open days for us. How cool is that?"

The band plans to post a site and have their fans journey with them while they record Molly Hatchet #17, the untitled LP to be out later this year. Their official website is www.mollyhatchet.com.
