On Wednesday, in his first of two final concerts at Shea Stadium in New York, Billy Joel played some Beatles songs in honor of the group that made Shea a legend as a music venue, started by the Beatles when they played there on August 15, 1965 to about 55,000 people.

During last night's show, Billy played Beatles classics A Hard Day's Night, Please Please Me and She Loves You.

After playing She Loves You, Billy told the crowd, "I want to thank the Beatles for letting us use their room. The best band that ever was, the best band that ever will be!"
