Fab quote of the week: Phil Spector
[Posted by Dave Haber on Friday, 10/24/08 9:21 am] [Full Blog] [Tweet] [Facebook]

In a documentary to be aired tomorrow on the BBC, infamous music producer Phil Spector says he doesn't care about how Paul McCartney felt about what Spector did with the Let It Be album.

According to Teletext, the documentary is mostly not about Spector's upcoming retrial in Los Angeles, but instead focuses on Spector as a songwriter and producer, the man who pioneered the "wall of sound".

During the documentary, film-maker Vikram Jayanti talks with Spector about the genesis of records he's produced, and working with The Beatles, and reportedly, Spector dismisses Paul McCartney's dissatisfaction about the arrangements on Spector's remix of the Let It Be tracks.

Spector says, "He's got me confused with somebody who gives a s**t."

The documentary, The Agony And Ecstasy Of..., airs in the UK on BBC2, Saturday night at 9.40 pm.
