Shoulda Been There by Jude Southerland Kesser, the only documented historical novel on the life of John Lennon, has just come out in its revised, second edition.

The new edition includes new factual end note information and now features a one-hour CD interview with the Beatles first manager, Allan Williams. Also heard on the CD is Beryl Adams, who was Brian Epstein's assistant at NEMS and the wife of Bob Wooler.

Shoulda Been There reads like a novel, but is a footnoted, actual account of John's life from 1940 to December 1961 when the Beatles accepted Epstein as their manager. It is the first of a trilogy of novels that will cover John's entire life. In his preface to the book, Bill Harry calls the book a "real tour de force!"

The new revised, second edition of Shoulda Been There will be Goldmine's book of the month in Feb. 2009. It is on sale now at On The Rock Books and The Fest For Beatle Fans for $29.95. Write to Jude ay and mention, and you'll receive $5 off the cover price through 23 December.
