Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby

Thanks to Popeye historian Fred Grandinetti who wrote to mention that the April 2009 issue of Movie Collector's World includes a feature on "Popeye's 80th Birthday," which contains a mention of the classic Beatles cartoon TV show from 1965 and 66. In one of the episodes of that show, "Tell Me What You See," Popeye's baby Swee'Pea appears with John Lennon.


The reason for the connection? Popeye cartoons and the Beatles cartoons were created by the same company, King Features.
