Reporter and radio personality Gillian Lomax, herself a fellow UK native, is taking Los Angeles Beatles fans on a special Magical History Tour this Saturday to remember George Harrison on the 9th anniversary of his passing, November 29, 2001.
This Saturday, November 27, starting at 10:00 AM in Santa Monica, Gillian's "Fab Four-In-Los Angeles" excursion that takes you through a myriad of L.A. locations that have strong links to The Fabs' lives and music, as a special rememberance of George, will conclude for this special occasion at the "George Harrison Tree" memorial in Griffith Park.
The memorial was dedicated on February 22, 2004, which was also declared George Harrison Day in Los Angeles.
"Most people don't associate Los Angeles with The Beatles, but in fact they've had a personal connection with our city since 1964," said Gillian, who was originally raised in Merseyside across from Liverpool.
Gillian, currently the Beatles news reporter on Beatlesarama.com, has worked in a wide range of media outlets including Radio Como in Italy, as music editor for the British Weekly, senior correspondent for Britsound Radio, and in Los Angeles on 97.1 KLSX and 95.5 KLOS where she reported on Beatles news for "Breakfast with the Beatles," and Beatlesradio.com.
The cost for the four hour tour is $65. (Two hour tours are also available for $50.00) For more information and reservations, visit www.amagicalhistorytour.com.
