|Plaque commemorating the Beatles unveiled at JFK Airport|

A new plaque was unveiled today by the NY/NJ Port Authority at JFK Airport's TWA Flight Center to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles arrival at JFK Airport on February 7th 1964. Many Beatles fans made the trek out to JFK for the dedication and unveiling to kick off the first event for the 3 day Fest for Beatles Fans 50th Anniversary weekend.

Famed Rock musician Billy J Kramer, who will be performing at the Fest for Beatles Fans special NYC 50th anniversary weekend, and fest Co-Master of Ceremonies DJ Ken Dashow unveiled the plaque. Beatles tribute band "Liverpool" played several Beatles hits from 1964 at the ceremony.

In addition, several VIP guests from Liverpool were on hand, including Liverpool's Lord Mayor Gary Millar, and Liverpool Councillor and Cabinet Member for Culture and Tourism, Wendy Simon. Liverpool's Cavern Club Bill Heckle, Jon Keats and Cavern Club Beatles made a quick appearance after just arriving from London at JFK minutes earlier.
