That's right! You've heard correct. The band that was started by John Lennon while The Beatles were still together is being resurrected by Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono. This week they'll be releasing a brand new EP entitled "Don't Stop Me!". The Plastic Ono Band will also be playing their first concert on June 14, 2009 at The Royal Festival Hall in the UK.
The Plastic Ono Band always consisted of various musicians like Eric Clapton, Alan White and Klaus Voorman, and David Peel who played various live performances with The Plastic Ono Band. The line up for 2009 is Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Mark Ronson (Producer), Cornelius and Yuka Honda (from the group Cibo Mato).

Fans vote Abbey Road most desired Beatles download
[Posted by Dave Haber on Wednesday, 05/13/09 6:16 pm] [Permalink] [Tweet] [Facebook]
BeatlesRadio.com surveyed more than 400 listeners and asked them, "If you could download any album or single by the fab four, what would it be?"
According to the results of the survey, Abbey Road would be the Beatles album Beatles fans would like to be able to download most. Given the opportunity, A Day In The Life would be the top single download.
Of course, no deal has yet been worked out between iTunes or any other music service and Apple Corps for the downloading of the Beatles, and there is no way to know if and when that might ever happen. With "The Beatles Rock Band Game" and CD re-masters coming on 09-09-09, will digital downloads follow in time for this Christmas? We can only wait and see.
The top 5 Beatles albums listeners would download if they could, according to the survey, are:
1. Abbey Road
2. The White Album
3. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
5. Rubber Soul
The top 5 individual Beatles songs listeners would download if they could:
1. A Day In the Life
2. In My Life
3. Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End
4. Hey Jude
5. Strawberry Fields Forever
BeatlesRadio.com also surveyed their listeners and asked what Beatles Product would you like to see, everything from Beatles Underwear to the CD re-masters were the answers. The full list of survey results can be viewed here.
