Publishing in the time of pandemic: Bruce Spizer's new Beatles book

Nothing is "normal" anymore, even the publishing of Bruce Spizer's long-anticipated work on The Beatles' Let It Be. Spizer, who was coordinating his efforts with the 2020 release of the Peter Jackson Get Back film, discovered that Disney had been postponed the project until 2021. Now, Spizer has engineered "a surprise package" for his readers.

Beatles DJ Ken Michaels hits milestone of 2000 shows

In May, 2020, Beatles DJ Ken Michaels hit the biggest milestone of his career by finishing his 2000th radio show on the Beatles! Beginning in March, 1982 on college radio station WNYT, Ken created "The All-Request Beatles Show," one of the longest-running Beatles programs on radio, and certainly, one of the first weekly Beatles programs on radio.

Beatles fans can now enter Strawberry Fields

Strawberry Fields Honorary President Julia Baird, John Lennon's sister, recently gave an impassioned presentation asking Beatles fans to come visit and support the new Strawberry Fields center that is opening to the public on September 14, at the 2019 International Beatleweek in the Adelphi Hotel main ballroom.

For a Beatles fan, attending a recreation of the Beatles last public rooftop concert from atop of a building in Liverpool is dream come true. The recent Monday night concert last week was a once in a lifetime experience, at the Shankly Hotel in downtown Liverpool with the Royal Liver building in the background.

Terry Crain, author of the new book, NEMS and The Business of Selling Beatles Merchandise in the U.S. 1964-1966, has been selected as the Grand Finale Speaker for the Beatles at the Ridge Symposium in Walnut Ridge, AR, Sept. 20-21. This free two-day festival and symposium will focus on the theme of Beatles Memorabilia.

The knowledgeable and vivacious podcast duo of Allison Boron and Erika White, "BC The Beatles," will be front and center at Beatles at the Ridge's 7th Annual Symposium, Sept. 20-21, 2019. They will be interviewing the event's featured guests and host a "live on-air" podcast directly from The Studio, Main Street, Walnut Ridge.

Beatles symposium to host new Beatles author

Beatles at the Ridge is proud to welcome author Patricia Gallo-Stenman to their 2019 Symposium line-up. Stenman was selected as a teen reporter on the Fab Four during the 1960s in her local Philadelphia area, and in her 25-year career as a journalist, has written about The Beatles for Discover and The Sunday Bulletin Magazine.

Mr. Spock goes Across the Universe

At New York Comic Con on Saturday, Star Trek fans got their first look at Ethan Peck as Spock in the second season of Star Trek: Discovery on CBS All Access. Fans were surprised to see this glimpse of the new Spock, who can be seen inexplicably wearing a beard, reminiscent the beards the Beatles had in Let it Be.

Former fan club president to address Beatles symposium

Marti Edwards will make her first appearance as a Guest Author at award-winning Beatles at the Ridge in September.
