The wife of Badfinger's Joey Molland passes away Sad news for Beatles fans and fans of the Apple artists family. Kathie Molland, wife of Badfinger's Joey Molland, passed away in her sleep on Tuesday. Kathie met Joey Molland in 1970 at a Minneapolis night club while Badfinger were on their first American tour. She married Joey two years later in London. Source: Beatles News Blog

The man who brought Beatlemania to America, dead at 91 Former record company executive Alan Livingston died today in Los Angeles at the age of 91. Livingston was the president of Capitol Records at the time the company obtained the exclusive U.S. distribution rights for recordings of The Beatles in December, 1963.
