Beatles Christmas messages were carols to be played at maximum volume

The Beatles Christmas messages began as a personal show of holiday thanks to the fan club, but grew into an annual tradition as important as any evergreen chestnut for a generation. Growing up, the silly off-key carols meant Christmas. Beatle babies, born in 1963, barely talking, could still sing along to "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Ringo".

The Beatles' Christmas Records: A feat of fan appreciation and devotion

For members of the Official Beatles Fan Club in the 1960s, Christmas was a very special time of year. That's because season's greetings from the seminal band arrived in the mail, in the form of a square cardboard-backed envelope. Inside was a recorded message on a flexi-disc from The Beatles themselves, wishing fans a merry Christmas.

The Beatles Christmas Records a perfect retro gift

The Beatles Christmas Records were originally sent to fan club members as flexi-discs each year from 1963 to 1969, and a compilation album was sent out in 1970, after the band broke up. The seven discs have been "remastered and pressed on seven inch coloured vinyl for the first time" replicating the original releases.

Review: Christmas Time Is Here Again

Beginning in 1963, the Beatles started a holiday tradition of recording Christmas messages for their fans. The records were not available for sale, but were distributed free to Fan Club members. Although the Christmas recordings have been bootlegged for decades, they have never been officially released to the general public until now.

Beatles Christmas Records box set on colored vinyl coming Dec. 15

After many rumors, this morning Apple Corps Ltd., Capitol Records and Universal Music formally announced The Beatles Christmas Records Box, a limited-edition collection of 7″ singles, pressed on colored vinyl. Also coming Dec. 15 is the Sgt. Pepper 2017 stereo mix as a 1-LP, 180g vinyl edition and as a limited, collectible picture disc.
