Video: Blossoms Cover Paul McCartney's Christmas classic

Blossoms have rounded off an amazing 2017 by offering up their version of a Christmas classic, they've posted a cover of Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmastime on their Facebook page as a festive gift to their fans. 2017 saw Blossoms tour their self-titled debut album, including a festival appearance at Glastonbury.

Shut up, Wonderful Christmastime coolest Christmas song ever

Despite the countless miracles he's performed on this Earth, Sir Paul McCartney is still crucified by critics for Wonderful Christmastime, an evergreen radio-friendly classic. Other Xmas songs are so needy. Like that Band Aid one, which more or less bullies you into setting up a charity standing order to Africa. Wonderful Christmastime carries no such baggage.

Opinion: Worst Christmas song and possibly the worst song ever

Wonderful Christmastime is the worst of Christmas songs, but it makes up for it by also being the worst of all songs, the worst song ever written by a human, Beatle or otherwise, the worst melody, the worst synthesizer, the worst production, the worst Wings song, the worst pronunciation of the word "here," and the worst lyrics.

Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmastime makes Top 25 Holiday Songs list

Quite a few classic-rock artists have penned memorable Christmas tunes, but only one has made it onto the 2017 list of the top 25 most-played holiday songs compiled by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). Paul McCartney's 1979 "Wonderful Christmastime" sneaked onto the tally at #25.

Record Store Day's Black Friday includes two Paul McCartney discs

The famed Record Store Day, where indie record stores offer up hundreds of new and limited edition titles each April, has its fall iteration this Black Friday, Nov. 24. Paul McCartney releases two 7" discs, one on red vinyl and one on green, both featuring a new version of his song Wonderful Christmastime, with the help of The Roots.

Record Store Day 2017 includes special Paul McCartney vinyl

Annual Record Store Day has revealed this year's exhaustive list of vinyl exclusives set for release on Black Friday 2017, Nov. 24. Among this year's releases includes a pair of 7-inch singles from Paul McCartney. One is on red vinyl, the other green, both feature the new version of his classic "Wonderful Christmastime" featuring the Roots.

Paul McCartney, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots kick off the holiday season with a giddy remake of the former Beatle's 1980 track, "Wonderful Christmastime." The a cappella instrumental, with some seasonal bells thrown in, will appear on Holidays Rule, Vol. 2, a new compilation out October 13 on Capitol Records.
