Artists and authors to open Arkansas Beatles festival on September 19
The 4th annual Beatles at the Ridge has expanded their two day music festival with an educational twist by adding free lectures and gallery shows from world-renowned Beatles authors, experts and artists.
The authors and artists symposium will open with displays at 2 pm on Friday, September 19 with displays by artists Enoch Doyle Jeter, Rande Kessler and collector Ken Orth. Artists will be on hand throughout the two day event to discuss their work and answer questions.

On Friday evening at 7 pm, authors Jude Southerland Kessler, author of The John Lennon Series, and Chuck Gunderson, author of Some Fun Tonight, will come together to present a multi-media program that takes listeners through the year of 1964, right up to the moment that The Beatles landed in Walnut Ridge.
Author's presentations will continue at The Venue on Saturday, including Lanea Stagg (Recipe Records Cookbooks) demonstrating "Cookin Up a Beatle Brunch" at 10:30 am, Dr. Kenneth Womack (The Beatles Encyclopedia: Everything Fab Four) presenting "Lunch and Learn with The Walkin' Beatles Encyclopedia" at 12:30 pm.
At 3 pm, Dr. Kit O'Toole (contributing editor at BeatleFan Magazine) will talk "Tea n' Trumpets (er, Guitars)", and Anthony Robustelli (I Want to Tell You: The Definitive Guide to the Music of The Beatles: 1962-63) will finish up the day with "Beatles' Multi-Track Meltdown" at 4:15 pm.

Beatles At The Ridge is a two day music festival that celebrates the Beatles landing in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on September 18, 1964. This free festival attracted over 15,000 visitors in 2013 and is expected to draw a much larger crowd with this year being the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' visit to the Walnut Ridge Airport. Headlining this year's musical portion of the fest will be Liverpool Legends.
