Beatles Fan Club historian to speak at Beatles festival

Sara Schmidt, author of Happiness is Seeing The Beatles: The Beatles in St. Louis, will be one of the guest authors for Beatles at the Ridge Symposium, Sept. 15-16 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Schmidt will talk about new book she is writing about Beatles Fan Clubs and share the true story of George Harrison's days in Benton, IL in 1963.

New beatles-themed book slated for release at Beatles festival

Author Lanea Stagg will be releasing a new Beatles-themed coloring book to be available for sale at the Ridge festival in September. "Little Dog at the Ridge" will follow the adventures of Ava, Stagg's famous "Little Dog," as she gets lost in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, where The Beatles landed on their 1964 North American tour.

Noted author to host British tea time at Beatles festival

One of the originators of the Beatles at the Ridge Authors and Artists Symposium, noted author Lanea Stagg, will be returning to the Ridge for the fourth time 16-17 September to host a British Tea, featuring her recipe for scones and lemon curd, both found in her latest book, Recipe Records: A Culinary Tribute to The Beatles.

Teen musician to shine at Beatles at the Ridge Festival

This year, talented young musician Cameron Hicks is returning to Beatles at the Ridge as a Guest Presenter for the Beatles Artists and Authors Symposium. He swept the judges away and brought the crowds to their feet at last year's festival's Youth Talent Contest. Cameron will be performing three times during the weekend.

Two Louisiana artists come together at Beatles at the Ridge

On Saturday, Sept. 17, Beatles at the Ridge 2016 will feature the award-winning film "Good Ol' Freda," the story of Freda Kelly, the official Beatles Fan Club Secretary for the duration of The Beatles' career. The film was released in 2013 to great acclaim at South By Southwest, and since then, it has won award after award.

Beatles Fan Club Secretary to speak at Beatles symposium

Freda Kelly, the official Beatles Fan Club Secretary for the duration of The Beatles' career will be the Honored Guest of the symposium presented by GRAMMY Museum of Mississippi and Delta State University. The film "Good Ol' Freda," will be shown on Saturday, 2 April and Ms. Kelly will speak to attendees and answer questions.

Beatles tribute to be unveiled in Arkansas

The Beatles electrified a small Arkansas town when they made a surprise visit in 1964, now, they're coming back. Walnut Ridge, Ark., will unveil a life-sized sculpture of the Beatles on Sept. 18, culminating a festival and concert that will take place that day. The sculpture is an artist's rendering of the Abbey Road album cover.

Louise Harrison next Friday with Beatledd

Louise Harrison, sister of George Harrison, will be Edd Raineri's special guest on "The Beatledd Fab Four Hour," which airs live next Friday, February 25th. Judith Kristen, author of "A Date With a Beatle", will also be on the program. February 25th would have been George Harrison's 68th birthday.

Gordon Caldwell, George Harrison's nephew, and son of Louise Harrison, this morning, Sunday, January 17th, 2010 at the age of 52. Louise said, "Gordon, like his uncle George Harrison, was a very spiritual person and was a siddha".

George Harrison and the mystery of the missing Rickenbacker

Longtime Beatles friend and business associate Tony Bramwell is on a quest for a missing guitar. He is trying to recover the Rickenbacker electric guitar that was given to Jack Oliver, the former General Manager of Apple Records, in 1969 by George Harrison. No questions asked on its return.

30th Annual International Dutch Beatles Convention

Every year, in the Easter weekend, Beatles Unlimited organises its annual International Beatles Convention at the Theatre Musketon, Utrecht, Netherlands. Beatles Festival returns to Nashville this week

Beatle fans across the country will converge on Nashville, October 23 to 25 for three days of concerts, panel discussions and memorabilia displays at the Fab Four Festival 2008. Now in its third year, the festival will be held at The Cannery Ballroom and proceeds will benefit the Community Resource Center.
